Mr. Isensee said he was loath to resort to snow farms but, with another storm possible next week, he might have no choice but to use a city park or playground for that purpose. Considering all the dirt and garbage that ends up in plowed snow, he said, it would not be pleasant for children come early spring.

“As soon as the snow’s done they want to play ball,” he said. “Oh, well. It is what it is.”
